TB-500
Thymosin Beta-4 Fragment • Recovery Peptide
For Research Purposes Only • Not for human consumption • Laboratory research use only
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide fragment of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a naturally occurring 43-amino acid protein found in virtually all human and animal cells. Thymosin Beta-4 is one of the most abundant intracellular proteins and plays important roles in cell migration, blood vessel formation, and tissue repair processes.
The parent compound Thymosin Beta-4 was first isolated from the thymus gland. It is now known to be expressed in many tissue types and is involved in actin sequestration, cell motility, and wound healing processes. TB-500 contains the active region responsible for many of these effects.
TB-500 Sequence: LKKTETQ (Active Region) • Full Tβ4 Molecular Weight: 4,921 Da • CAS Number (Tβ4): 77591-33-4
Research has extensively examined Thymosin Beta-4's role in tissue repair mechanisms. Studies indicate it promotes cell migration to injury sites and supports the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) in damaged tissue.
Wound healing research documented extensively
Scientific literature documents TB-500's effects on blood vessel formation. Studies show it promotes endothelial cell migration and tube formation—key steps in creating new blood supply to healing tissues.
Vascular research published in peer-reviewed journals
Research has investigated TB-500 in models of muscle and tendon injury. Studies suggest it may support satellite cell activation and differentiation—processes involved in muscle tissue repair.
Musculoskeletal research available
Studies have explored Thymosin Beta-4 in cardiac tissue models. Research indicates potential cardioprotective properties and effects on cardiac progenitor cell migration in experimental settings.
Cardiac regeneration studies documented
Research has examined TB-500's effects on inflammatory markers. Studies suggest it may modulate inflammatory responses, contributing to its observed effects in tissue repair models.
